Camp Lahti Wedding, Lake Linden, Michigan

I first met Allison while photographing both of her sisters weddings in 2016. I was ecstatic to hear that her and Marcos wanted me to be apart of their wedding day in Michigan at a camp that was very dear to Allison’s family, Camp Lahti (Lahti Retreat Center). This boho vintage wedding was straight out of a DREAM. I about died when I saw how gorgeous Allison’s gold wedding dress was and the amazing floral bouquets that were exotic to say the least (Calument Floral nailed it!).

I loved being apart of this wedding celebration as I traveled out to Michigan in time for the preparation, the rehearsal, and time to get to see again and meet family members of the bride and groom! The day of the wedding the boys set out to make Allison’s dream come true with having huge pieces of various pink colored fabric hung in the back of the ceremony location. The boys gathered rocks to help secure the fabric and poles to the ground. Allison’s sister and brother in law also practiced the worship song they would lead during the ceremony. It was such a great way to start the wedding festivities - with some teamwork and music.

Once the boys’ projects were done, they continued over to Camp Jacob on the property where they would play a game of 500 with a football and other card games on the picnic table while the girls were getting ready across the way.

The girls got ready in what once was the “Farmhouse” on the property. Hair and makeup were being done with hairspray and nail polish fumes in the air. Allison’s mom helped Allison get ready in her uniquely gorgeous wedding dress! Following, Allison and her dad share a first look. This was so special as I had photographed her dad’s first look with the other two sisters as well.

Next up! The first look with Marcos and Allison! It was perfect setting in the woods next to Lake Michigan where the two got to see each other for the first time the day of their wedding. Photos of the two lovebirds and then their bridal party were then taken! Family photos with the whole gang followed!

Then it was time for their ceremony where Allison’s grandpa helped read scripture and family members led worship. The ceremony location was definitely one of the coolest places to have a ceremony - with a wooden cross right in front of the shores of the lake. After the ceremony it was time for the reception! It was a grand time with speeches, dances, a photobooth, and even sneaking out for some photos under the cafe lights!

I hope you all enjoy looking through their wedding day photos!
